I am a Special Education teacher with a specialty in Math & Science at West Bronx Academy. This year, I will be teaching the 6th and 7th graders. Before teaching in public school, I was an assistant buyer, product developer and key account manager with numerous fashion and packaging companies. I wanted to be a librarian when I was very young because of my love of books. Then when I was a bit older, I wanted to be a veterinarian because of my love of animals. And now, with my love of the outdoors, and my tendency to problem solve while always being curious, I hope I inspire students to think differently about Math and Science.
I have a B.S degree in Fashion Merchandising Management from The Fashion Institute of Technology (SUNY), a M.S. degree in Special Education from Hunter College and am in progress for a certificate for the Multilingual Learner Project through The City College of New York (CCNY).
If I am not walking my dog, or playing with my newborn daughter, I am probably out in the garden checking on my flowers and veggies. I am always intrigued by all the wildlife and insects the garden attracts - right now I have a giant praying mantis hanging out on my porch :)
